A bit out of the way if you&rsquo;re staying in Amboise but worth the 5 minute drive from city center. Our waiter was extremely friendly and the food was excellent. It was a very hot day so we started with a very cold beer that hit the spot perfectly.

La Bonne Etape

First-rate experiences all round. The ambience of the dining room very elegant in an understated way. The service was similar with experienced servers willing to share their knowledge upon asking. The food was phenomenal. The halibut was probably the finest I have ever eaten and the boeuf Rossini was another stand out. The cheese trolley was also formidable. We will surely return after the major makeover of the hotel is completed. One for your address book.

The location of the restaurant is good in Amboise.  The food is mediocre, nothing I would recommend but ok if you need to eat. We had the fish special and some caramelized cauliflower. The French onion soup was fairly poor. The ambiance was ok until a couple with a large dog was seated a few tables down, we got to eat with the sound of a dog lapping up water (this was inside on the 1st floor).

One of the best restaurants we have been to in France.  Surprised with a small appetizer with our delicious regional white wine.  Had a unique salad, pork in a delicious sauce with vegetables for our entree, and the richest chocolate dessert ever.

The food and ambiance were average.  Not really what I expected from previous reviews on the Fork.  Prices were reasonable, and the food came out fast, but overall the food was basic and bland.  This establishment is away from the more polished cafes and bistros of central Amboise and it is not the same quality and experience.  The weak wifi signal made both ordering and paying problematic. I made a rookie mistake in not reviewing and translating the &ldquo;all in French&rdquo; menu on the app prior to arrival and we ended up ordering the organ meat de jour because we could not get a signal to Google it.

The food was just acceptable,  notofanygreatinterest. The service was friendly but slow. Beware: this hotel and restaurant attracts bus tours. Our meal was disturbed by other diners loudly discussing politics.

Very good welcome with a smile, a small pleasant room and comfort at the level of the seat. Beautiful presentation of the dishes that are very good with fresh products. A pleasant and careful server at our table, so no wait. To discover
